T-Mobile presents RAZR V3 Miami Ink Collection

The RAZR V3 Miami Ink Collection was introduced nationwide by Motorola and T-Mobile. The RAZR Miami Ink Collection presents T-Mobile customers a new view on the best-selling mobile handset. Two new phones feature tattoo-inspired designs by Ami James, leading tattoo artist.

The RAZR V3 is dark pearl gray with Dragon Tattoo and the RAZR V3 is magenta with Cherry Blossom Tattoo and laser-etched aluminum surface.

LG presented the Shine, a new phone of the Black Label series of iconic handset platforms that will capture the customers like the LG Chocolate did. The Shine is a slim slider in metal. To make its size unnoticeable LG uses scroll wheel.

The features of the LG Shine are:

  • 2 megapixel camera,
  • 1 GB of built in memory,
  • memory card slot and 3G data.

It leaked out the world that Google is testing text ads for its mobile search service, although Google didn't announce a word about it. However some users declare seeing the ads and screen captures have been posted online. However the Google button announced by Motorola has yet to make an appearance.

There are three new mobile phones T629, T619 and T509s announced by Samsung and T-Mobile. The phones support T-Mobile's myFaves service. This service gives users the possibility to have five photos or icons on the home screen of a myFaves-enabled phone and also have unlimited nationwide calling to those five 'Faves.

Nokia acquires gate5

Nokia informed about completion of acquisition of gate5 AG, a leading supplier of mapping, routing and navigation software and services. An important step in developing the new product category of multimedia computers was done allowing people multiple ways to connect to information, entertainment and other people. Nokia introduced the Nokia N95 multimedia computer with integrated GPS and navigation functionality where its maps and navigation application is based on the gate5 software platform.

Next spring Nokia declared to close a Texas-based facility Fort Worth that provides handset logistical and repair services for the American market. All in all 450 workers will be affected; 150 will transfer to Nokia's Irving , Texas , facility and about 300 Nokia workers will be discharged. The layoffs are likely to begin in December and will go on into the first quarter of next year.

WAP-based mobile video with FreeBe TV from ROK

ROK Entertainment Group U.S. now offers 13 free channels of news, music and sports. FreeBe TV, a WAP- the U.K. based wireless video company made service for about two dozen 2.5G and 3G phone models. Channels include classic movies, comedy clips, sports and news that are read by computer-animated monkeys. Two more channels are in the work ROK also has in plan broadening the service for PC users via Internet TV (IPTV).

The Motorola V3m red phone is going to come to the US with help of Motorola and (Product) RED - a company co-founded by U2 lead singer Bono. The phone features are EV-DO data, a 1.3 Megapixel camera and a MicroSD card slot. Sprint and US Cellular will supply this phone.

When buying RED MOTORAZR $17 will be donated to (RED)'s efforts to support The Global Fund, which fights AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria in Africa .
