Cricket has recently unveiled an addition to its lineup of AWS 3G phones, the LG HELiX. This clamshell phone has a large keypad, adjustable fonts, a 1.3Mpix camera, speakerphone and Bluetooth. The LG's Voice Clarity technology improves call quality by adjusting the volume of the headset depending on the level of background noise.

The HELiX will be available for $140 in pink or silver.

According to EngadgetMobile, the LG Chocolate Touch from Verizon is slated for a November 5 launch. Given the upcoming releases of the DROID and Droid Eris, which are both launching in the same period, this handset is going to get it's a$$ kicked. Then the fact that Chocolate Touch has almost nothing in common with the BL40 should also be taken into consideration.

HTC have confirmed that they're workong on an Android 2.0 update for the owners of the HTC Hero handset.

As reported by guardian.co.uk, O2 UK's exclusivity for the iPhone 3G(S) runs out on November 9th, and right the next day the handset will become available to Orange UK customers... at a higher price. In addition, you'll also be able to purchase it through independent retailers Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U, on behalf of Orange, of course.
