3 Project Ara alternatives

Project Ara is an impressive product, no doubts about it. Google stands a chance to change the way we think of phones forever.

The idea is sound – you get a phone, use it for a while, and when you need extra horse-power – simply change the underlying CPU. You can do the same with camera, add more RAM, or even change the big screen for a smaller one accompanied with a physical QWERTY keyboard.

If you are a fan of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but figured out that this particular handset happens to be missing out on a dual SIM slot in order to make it a truly outstanding flagship device, perhaps you no longer need to wait too long any more, since word on the street has it that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will roll out in China with a dual SIM slot.

This particular model would not carry the same model number as that of the vanilla SM-N910 Galaxy Note 4, but rather, it will be known as the SM-N9100.

LG G Flex Mini is in production

With LG’s first curved display-sporting smartphone now a year old, and sales numbers nowhere near as disappointing as some predicted, it’s only logical to expect a G Flex sequel of sorts to break cover sometime soon.

We figured LG was holding off to develop a noteworthy upgrade, not just a rehash with slightly better hardware, according to an Israeli reporter/insider, who claims to have entered in contact with an unreleased G Flex.

It’s unclear, however, where this project stands at this moment and we’ll likely have to wait for another few months before seeing the first usable Windows 10 device hitting the market. This platform will come with revamped core that would allow Windows apps to work across different form factors and devices.

Verizon Ellipsis 8 Tablet In The Works

Word has it that Verizon is looking to roll out a sequel to the Ellipsis 7 tablet, where it will most probably be known as the Ellipsis 8 – and with that, it would translate to an 8” tablet.

There have been some whispers concerning this unique tablet’s appearance and its hardware specifications, where it looks set to come with a $249.99 price point, alongside an 8” display at 1280 x 800 resolution, which is a similar resolution count as the former – which means the pixel density would have dropped then.
