Good news for Nokia fans: the company has sent out a notice to several US distributors, acording to which its first Maemo handset should hit Nokia distribution centers on September 27th. Starting October 1st AT&T customers will be able to get the new Pantech C790 Aladdin, according to PhoneArena. The handset comes with a QWERTY keyboard with the so called numbers pad, which makes it easier to type numbers into messages or text. Other features include a 2Mpix camera, 3G connectivity and Bluetooth support.

HTC has isued a new firmware build for its Hero handset, which should once and for all eliminate the lagging issue. One of the most common complaints regarding this handst was that it lagged when opening cerailn applications. Now this problem is fixed with the upgraded firmware version, 2.73.405.5, which is now available through the company's Danish website.
