LG has officially announced its first Android based handset today, the GW620. It is a sideways slider with a 3" touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, a microUSB slot and a 3.5mm headset jack. However, that's about all we can tell about it for now.

British retailer eXpansys UK has unveiled the release date for the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2. The product page lists the device as scheduled for arrival on January 11th, 2010 with a ridiculously high price tag of £604.99 ($1,010 USD) for an unlocked version. Such a price could neutralize all of its chanses for success, but it will surely drop prior to the official launch.
