SEMC blog has recently reported that the Sony Ericsson Xperia 2 will be officially announced next week at an upcoming Sony Ericsson press event.

Windows Mobile fans rejoice! First the HTC Touch Pro2, then the forthcoming Samsung Omnia II, and now Sony Ericsson Xperia X2. Things couldn't get any better.

Xperia X2 specifications:

• GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSPA 850/900/2100;
• Windows Mobile 6.

Samsung has recently announced a new low-end phone called B3310. It would be a nice choice if you need a simple handset with a QWERTY keyboard, but the keypad design just ruines it: the numeric keys are gathered along the left edge of the phone accompanied by a full landscape QWERTY slide. What were they thinking?

Other specs inlude:

China Mobile has recently launched the new Philips V900 - the first official Android-powered from Philips. It's not actually Android they're using, but the so called Open Mobile System (OMS) for China Mobile, also known as OPhone.
The release date and pricing wasn't announced.

Besides having the Android-based OS, the V900 alsor features Wi-Fi, 3.

According to sina.com.cn, the recently unveiled Motorola A3300 full-touch WinMo phone has sprouted will soon be available on China Telecom's EV-DO-based 3G network as the A3300c. Motorola is all about Android now, so dont expect it to be available anywhere other than China.

MetroPCS is now ofering the new Samsun SCH-R560 Messager II. The phone comes with both numeric and full slide-out QWERTY keypads, and features EV-DO connectivity support, as well as a 2Mpix camera capable of shooting videos. It can be yours for just $149 on contract.

Just to let you know, the handset is also available in Canada as the Samsung Vice.

According to Samsung Mobile USA’s website, the new Samsung Omnia II will be “coming soon exclusively at Verizon Wireless.” You can sign up on Samsung’s email list to be immediately updated when the phone goes live.

Like any successor, the second Omnia is superior to it's predecessor in terms of specs:

• 3.7" WVGA AMOLED touchscreen

The first press photo of the upcoming Nokia N97 Mini has emerged in the Interwebs, you can see it above. The phone is FCC-approved and even has some previews, and  cn't wait for the upcoming Nokia World event, where the N97 Mini will be presented.

A new basic handset has surfaced at the FCC site. The new Pantech C180 for AT&T has only the most nesessary features, and also a memory card slot, music player, and FM radio, as well as WAP support.

At an event in San Francisco yesterday Samsung has announced that its touchscreen Blue Earth phone with solar power will be launching this October, though they didn't specify where it will be available.

According to SEMC blog, Sony Ericsson's low-end music slider, the W205 is now available in two additional colors: Sakura Pink and Windy Blue in some selected markets. As always there was no official word about that.
