The long-awaited Wi-Fi enabled BlackBerry phone will soon become available as FCC has recently approved such a device.

T-Mobile and AT&T are the potential carriers to offer this GSM handset in the US.

Xiao Jinpeng, a welder at the Yingpan Iron Ore Dressing Plant in Jinta county in western China's Gansu province, was killed on June 19 when the battery in his cell phone exploded. The phone was in the man's chest pocket and reportedly was exposed to high temperatures before it blew up. Motorola officials are working with Chinese authorities to figure out what caused the explosion.

QuickOffice application, which is the mobile version of Microsoft Office, is now available on the newest Symbian OS that can be seen on the MOTORIZR Z8 cell phone. Samsung has recently introduced its SGH-L760 Mobile Blog phone in Korea. The handset is compatible with Youtube.com, Ublog.com and Buzznet.com and allows users to upload photos and videos DIRECTLY from the phone.

The Mobile Blog comes with an embedded 2Mpix camera, media player and will first become available in Spain in July, and later in the rest of Europe.
