The first Lollipop firmware for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 leaked. Later on, the ROM has been brought over to the XDA forums where it’s still available for download.
Sadly, it’s made for the Exynos Note 3 variant and not the one powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 chip, and this is a beta release only, so, according to some reports, not everything will work out of box, with users reporting certain crash issues and a major problem with Bluetooth connectivity.

Microsoft is getting ready to pull a Samsung, as yet another entry-level Lumia smartphone is on the way.
In fact, this presumed 435 and the four month-old 530 could easily pass for identical twins. Both are 4 inches in diagonal, carry low-res 854 x 480 pix res screens, and pack quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processors.
There’s no word on Lumia 435’s RAM count yet, but the odds of it pairing that lowly CPU with anything north of 512 MB memory are astronomical.

The Nexus 9 is now available from T-Mobile with 4G LTE connectivity.
Magenta charges nada upfront for all its “Uncarrier” items, letting you then split the full retail value of any given product in 24 monthly payments. In the case of the LTE-supporting N9, that’s $599.76 sliced in $24.99 fees.
Not exactly a bargain, but the Nexus 9 is not exactly a pushover.

Samsung reportedly plans to spread out the Android 5.0 love even wider than previously rumored in a matter of a few months, with Galaxy Alpha and Note Edge joining the Galaxy Note 4 – Note 3 – S4 – S5 LTE-A quartet.

Founded just four and a half years ago, China-based smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi quickly moved up the global mobile ranks, reaching the number three spot in sales a couple of months back, although its devices remain mostly unknown to American tech consumers.
The first step in their US conquest is reportedly a visit to CES 2015 in Las Vegas next month. Sounds bold, and the handheld they intend to unveil in “Sin City” is even bolder.
