Huawei is gearing towards launching a third device in the Ascent Mate series, which will be a high- rather than mid-end phablet.
The Mate 3 will keep the screen size while cramming more pixels on it for a full HD resolution (1080 x 1920 pixels). Moreover, it will use a much more powerful Snapdragon 805 SoC that is found in just a few of the top end phones.
Rest of the specs will apparently include 2 or 3 GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, while Android 4.4.2 KitKat will run the show right from the get-go.
The Chinese company will officially announce the Ascend Mate 3 at some point in September. At first, it will be offered in China, with other countries getting it at a later date.
