India is becoming a major cell phone producer in Asia. According to Business Standard, more than 107 million mobile handsets will be manufactured in the country by 2011. Currently all the cell phone production is targeted at the local market, but in the next five years 30% of it will go for export. Today Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and LG dominate on the Indian market, and more are yet to follow. The perspectives of the Asian market are great.
