LG G Pro 3 could be the Korean company’s first mobile device to use its own mobile chip, the long-time rumored LG Odin.
If everything goes as planned, TSMC will be manufacturing the chip that will power-up LG’s next flagship phablet. Since that device will be announced in 2015, we would expect Odin to boast a 64-bit architecture. Or not, it’s not like LG already makes 32-bit chips.
The report, coming from Korea, suggests that these (Odin) chips will be ready for prime time in early 2015, making them ready for the G Pro 3, which will likely be announced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
