Motorola will not only make the next Nexus smartphone (Nexus 6), but also a similar device with its own branding.
The upcoming Moto S will likely end-up selling at all major carriers in the U.S. though some of them may get a preferential treatment. According to TKTechNews, Verizon will get an exclusive launch window with other operators joining in at a later stage.
The rumors suggest the Moto S will not carry the DROID branding; it will pack the big 5.9-inch 1440×2560 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chip, 13-megapixel camera and 2GB of RAM. Not sure why an extra gig of RAM wasn’t included, though.
