Eager fans of the Lumia 830 now have at least one way to jump on the bandwagon early.
Windows Phone enthusiasts “around the world” can purchase the PureView camera powerhouse for a recommended retail price of 330 EUR before taxes.
Back to US availability, let’s mention it costs quite a pretty penny to get first dibs on the upper mid-range 5-inch handheld, namely $449.99.
That’s because the retailer you’ll be doing business with, Expansys, is importing these devices from foreign markets where Microsoft has officially kicked off deliveries.
Also, just because Microsoft calls the Lumia 830 a “flagship”, it doesn’t mean this is an iPhone 6 “killer”. It’s no pushover, we can all agree on that, but compared with other “flagships”, the 5-inch 720p screen, quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 chip and 1 GB RAM feel middling at best.
