Some details on the upcoming and long-awaited Google phone have been recently revealed by GigaOm. Gphone is a Linux-based handset with full Java support. It will have a familiar Java UI, a multifunctional Java web browser, similar to those on the iPhone and Symbian devices, and be able to run all kinds of Java applications. Of course the phone comes with multimedia features, including audio and video playback. The device will probably be manufactured by HTC and will most likely have a QWERTY keyboard.
