Microsoft is taking things to the next level with its latest SDK 2.0 for Kinect v2 sensors, and soon we’ll see Kinect-compatible apps in the Windows Store.
Whether you’re a developer or someone who wants to take a peek, the Kinect SDK 2.0 is available as a free download with no fees.
As a consumer, you’ll be able to look forward to connecting your Kinect to Windows tablets and PCs.
The YAKiT app lets users create animated videos – complete with audio – just from photos. The 3D Builder app makes scanning everyday objects to create 3D renderings for printing a piece of cake.
Who knows what kind of awesome apps or games will come about and put the Kinect v2 sensor to great use.
