Microsoft sells no-contract AT&T Lumia 635 for $39

For a limited time, the cheapest 2014 member of the Nokia Lumia family is available even cheaper, at an incredibly low $39.

No contractual obligations, no strings attached, no nothing. You just need to commit to AT&T, as the low-end smartphone on sale won’t work with any other carrier stateside. Pre-loaded with Windows Phone 8.1, the Lumia 635 is by no means an impressive piece of mobile tech.

It’s quite laggy in the multitasking department, as it’s merely equipped with 512 MB of RAM. Then you have your cringe worthy 854 x 480 pix res 4.5-inch IPS screen, sub-par 5 MP rear camera, and tiny 1,830 mAh battery.

Still, all in all, you get a fair deal when paying the list price ($99), and a phenomenal bargain at $39. To put things in perspective, Amazon currently charges $100 for the no-contract T-Mobile 635 variant, and $71 for the GoPhone AT&T flavor Microsoft Stores have on special offer.
