Founded just four and a half years ago, China-based smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi quickly moved up the global mobile ranks, reaching the number three spot in sales a couple of months back, although its devices remain mostly unknown to American tech consumers.
The first step in their US conquest is reportedly a visit to CES 2015 in Las Vegas next month. Sounds bold, and the handheld they intend to unveil in “Sin City” is even bolder. The Mi5 might be priced at a little over $300, yet pack a high-class 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor.
Hopefully, the price tag will pan out, and maybe a couple of the other top-notch specs rumored: the 5.7-inch Quad HD screen, 20.7 MP rear camera, or fingerprint sensor.
