T-Mobile has just announced two Sidekick phones, the LX and Slide. Both are quad-band GSM/EDGE handsets with Bluetooth connectivity, microSD slot (4GB max), 1.3Mpix cameras, and the new mobile MySpace application. The LX, manufactured by Sharp, is a successor to the Sidekick 3 featuring a 3" WQVGA screen, 128MB microSD card and camera flash. It will be released on October 17th for existing T-Mobile subscribers, and on October 24th for the new ones, costing $299 with a 2-year contract. The Slide, manufactured by Motorola, is a smaller version of the Sidekick LX. It has a sliding 2" QVGA display, QWERTY keyboard, and no camera flash. It will be launched on November 7th for $199 with 2-year contract.
