AT&T launched the new mobile banking platform that will allow customers to view account balances and history, transfer funds and pay bills directly from their handset, all simple and secure. The mobile banking application is now available for download on more than 30 AT&T handsets and will be pre-loaded on future AT&T phones beginning later this year. In order to use the new service one must create an account at their financial institution's online banking Web site. Mobile banking is free of charge and its data consumption is insignificant.
