8Mpix CMOS Camera Module from Samsung

Samsung has announced today a new 8Mpix CMOS camera module.

While it is not the it has a smaller size of 10.5 X 11.5 X 9.4 mm (equal to the 3Mpix cam) and supports Auto Focus.

The module should be brought into production sometime next year, though its integration in GSM handsets remains under question.
