Philips came up with a new interesting handset called the Xenium 9@9. At the first sight the device looks simple an offers nothing special; features are very common and include GPRS/GSM connectivity, a VGA camera, a 65K color TFT display, Bluetooth and a microSD slot. BUT, the main point of attraction here is the extreme durability. The phone's battery provides up to 17 hours of talk time and 1440 hours (2 months!) of stand-by. I don't know how Philips made it possible, but this is surely a good example for other handset manufacturers.
