According to Lowell McAdam, Verizon Wireless CEO, the company will support and use Google's new Android mobile platform.
If you recall, last week Verizon announced that it will allow any application, any device to access its network, so the use of Android just proves the intentions.
There was no word on whether Verizon is to become a part of Google's Open Handset Alliance.
