Bluetooth SIG is celebrating its 10th anniversary this week. The first Bluetooth-enabled devices have appeared in 2000, after two years of work on standardization. Today there are more than 1.5 billion of them, and the number is constantly growing. Of course, Bluetooth SIG members don't want to stop on the achieved and are now working on the next generation of Bluetooth standard, which will use a much faster ultra-wideband (UWB) technology. For those of you who attend CES, Mike Foley, executive director of Bluetooth SIG will be speaking on the World of Wireless panel on Wednesday, January 9, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at LVCC, South Hall, S104-105.
