SANYO has presented at CES their new "ultra-rugged" (as they call it) GPS-enabled cell phone, named SCP-7050. The handset is fully "compliant with military standard 810F for dust, shock, and vibration" and is a great companion for those working in mobile field operations. Besides autonomous GPS the phone also supports Java MVM, which allows to run several Java applications at a time. The SCP-7050 is now available for Sprint's CDMA network at a price of $99 with a 2-year contract.
