As expected, Verizon picked up the Samsung U940 and LG VX9100 phones, which have recently passed the FCC.
Samsung U940 is the CDMA version of F700. It looks similar to the iPhone, but has better features, including a 5Mpix camera, HSDPA 7.6Mbps, a "drag and drop" touch interface on a 2.78" color display, VibeTonz technology, and a full QWERTY keyboard. So, meet yet another powerful competitor to the iPhone.
Unfortunately, we have no information on the LG VX9100, except that it may also be EV-DO-capable.
Both Samsung U940 and LG VX9100 should become available in this quarter.
