Sprint reported about the apparition of the first of Sprint Nextel combo phones. The Motorola ic502 was launched.
The ic502 uses Sprint's CDMA 1xRTT network for voice calls and data connections, but Nextel's iDen network for walkie-talkie service. Packed in the rugged clamshell body, it has the 65k color display, GPS, JAVA . The phone looks like Nextel's i836.
The device is going to be available for $59.99 with a two-year contract and can be purchased from the carrier's site.
