AT&T officially announced pricing plans for the iPhone 3G. The handset will become available on July 11, at 8:00 AM. New customers and those eligible for an upgrade will be able to get the phone for $199 (8GB) and $299 (16GB) with a 2-year commitment.
Existing AT&T customers who are not currently eligible for an upgrade can sign a new 2-year agreement and get the iPhone 3G for $399 (8GB) or $499 (16GB).
In the future iPhone 3G will also be available without a contract, priced at $599 for the 8GB version and $699 for the 16GB model.
