According to the reliable sources the Sony Ericsson is going to launch an ultra-slim, high-end Walkman camera phone as a rival to Motorola's RAZR the device which boost the South Korean firm's handset sales. The new device called “Ai” after tennis player Ai Sugiyama is going to be the sleek candy bar-shaped phone 9.4 millimeters in thickness, slimmer than the RAZR's 14 millimeters. It is expected to be in black and silver. A Sony Ericsson Asia Pacific spokeswoman said the company does not comment on new models that have not been announced.
Sony Ericsson after heavy losses it had four years ago has benefited from demand for its high-end Walkman music and Cybershot digital camera phones.
