There is some news from Sony that they presented a new memory card format that is capable of holding up to 32 GB of data. This card - The Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo - is a new version of the Pro Duo-sized memory card which is capable of read write speeds up to 60 MB / sec and can be made in sizes as large as 32 GB.
The PRO-HG cards don't require any new hardware or software on devices. They are completely with any Pro Duo card slot, including those on recent Sony Ericsson models such as the W810.
Although users of phones such as the new CyberShot models will not be able to take advantage of these new cards as Sony Ericsson turned to smaller memory card- the Memory Stick Micro M2 on its latest models.
