Cingular launched 3G in 160 markets across the US including Chicago, Dallas, Miami, New York, Seattle, San Francisco so as this number surpasses Cingular's expectation of a year ago.
You can see 3G coverage of upgraded cities available using zoom in to view a specific city. Although, Los Angeles still do not have 3G coverage. And also the carrier will upgrade their HSDPA to 7.2 Mbbps speeds, but Cingular doesn't announce future plans.
