The speeds of EV-DO and HSDPA networks do well for their decent-speed wireless connections almost anywhere in the U.S. It became known that German researchers have modified some regular UMTS equipment, instead changed it to use MIMO (which is the current cutting-edge technology used in modern WiFi devices) in order to achieve 100Mbps downstream data speeds. And another good feature of this development is that the modification also allows a full 50Mbps upstream data speed.
