Motorola has announced two new rugged business phones under the MC55 series. The difference between the MC5574 and the MC5590 is that the first model has a full QWERTY keyboard and an external antenna, while the other features a standard 12-key dialpad and an internal antenna.
The rest of the features are the same for each version:
- Windows Mobile 6.1 OS;
- Quad-band GSM/EDGE;
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth;
- 2Mpix camera with autofocus;
- 1D/2D scanners;
- 3.5" touchscreen;
- VoIP and PTT
Both versions of the phone are available in select markets around the world. The U.S. release is scheduled for the second quarter of 2009.
