Texas Instruments will collaborate with Motorola to produce chips to power future mobile phones. The handsets based on the new Texas Instruments chips will begin shipping only in 2008. It's that TI' s chips will provide 3G and WiMAX (802.16e) data connectivity. Motorola is going to begin shipping a new line of 802.16e mobile devices next year. It was troublesome for Motorola to have advanced 3G phones to the market thus Motorola set it as a major goal for 2007, so again they will have to wait a bit.
