Some leaked Verizon documents have uncovered launch details for the upcoming Samsung Alias2. Apparently the device will be launched on May 11th costing:
- $79.99 after a mail-in rebate with a 2-year contract;
- $149 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a 1-year contract
- $249 off contract
The Alias 2 is known by its keyboard that features E-ink technology. In portrait mode you get a standard numeric keypad for phone calls; in landscape, it becomes a full QWERTY keyboard.
Other features include:
- Unique 2-way flip form factor;
- Magic Keypad with electronic ink technology (keypad changes from a traditional keypad to QWERTY);
- 2.6" display, 240×320, 262K TFT Color capable of 8 lines of text in portrait, 5 in landscape;
- 2Mpix camera/camcorder with Night Shot function;
- V CAST Music with Rhapsody, V CAST Video capable;
- Voicemail & visual voicemail capable;
- Mobile Web, Mobile Email, Mobile Web Mail, Mobile IM, Chat, VZ Navigator & Chaperone Parent/Child capable;

- Bluetooth connectivity;
- GPS Enabled/ E911;
