Samsung has recently announced a new solar-powered cell phone called the E1107 Crest Solar. The entire back of the phone is covered the with the solar panel that charges the battery when in the sunlight, and each hour of charging can provide from 5 to 10 minutes of talk time. Sweet.
Features of the E1107 include support for dual-band 800/1900 GSM/EDGE and FM radios, as well as an MP3 player, GPS, a torch light and Mobile Tracker application. It will be available for purchase in select markets later this month. Pricing wasn't announced.
