The first Android phone for Verizon - Motorola Shules

Motorola is known for prepping up a new sliding QWERTY Android handset for Verizon (the first Android phone to be offered this carrier) sometime later this year. But it's not Calgary, as we originally assumed.

The device will be called the Motorola Shules, and according to the Motofan.ru site will be released on Verizon this Ocotober.

Features include:

  • Sliding QWERTY;
  • Android OS;
  • 3.7" 480x854 touchscreen;
  • 5Mpix autofocus camera with flash;
  • 512MB/256MB internal memory;
  • 3.5mm headset jack;
  • HTML browser;
  • Music and video support;
  • 1400mAh battery;
  • 8GB microSDHC memory card (up to 16GB is supported)
