Sony Ericsson has introduced the new Xperia X10, an Android powered handset, which should be released early next year. It will have a new UI that includes a number of custom applications developed by Sony Ericsson (like Timescape and Mediascape), and has the folowing specifications:
- Android 1.6 (Donut) OS;
- 1GHz Snapdragon processor;
- 4" WVGA 480 x 854 scratch resistant touchscreen;
- Quad-band GSM/EDGE radios;
- 3G 900/2100 and 800/850/1900/2100MHz UMTS/HSPA;
- 8.1Mpix camera with geo-tagging, face/smile detection, image stabilization, auto-focus and flash;
- Bluetooth with A2DP;
- GPS;
- Wi-Fi;
- Google services (Maps, Gmail, Calendar and Talk)
The phone will be available in the Q1 2010 in black or white. Pricing wasn't announced.
