CTIA presented the Samsung UbiCell base station. It’s a small white box similar to a WiFi access point. The UbiCell is mini cell tower for CDMA 1x networks. Through a broadband connection the device connects to a mobile network and provides enhanced cell coverage for the home. You don’t need anything special to use the base station. UbiCell will be distributed by Samsung via Sprint. This summer Sprint is going to begin selling the UbiCell. There is no info available on the pricing, but we'll keep you updated.
