According to the NPD Group, adults today play more mobile games than kids.
Each month more than 29 million consumers play mobile games. Users between the ages of 25 and 34 download and play more games than any other age group.
In 2006 mobile games were downloaded by consumers aged:
25 to 34 - 29% 18 to 24 - 27% 13 to 17 - 15%
Same goes to game playing activity (at least once a day):
25 to 34 - 50% 18 to 24 - 50% 13 to 17 - 41%
This situation can be explained easily: there are a lot more adult cell phone subscribers than teen users. In fact, comparing the share of game downloads to the share of subscribers in each age group, teens are most likely to download and play mobile games.
