John Paul May of Harrisville, a 10-year-old heart recipient, was located by state police by using cell tracking.
Saturday afternoon the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh called state police because officials couldn't reach the boy's parents to let them know a donor heart had been found. When police couldn't find the boy or reach him by phone, they contacted Sprint Nextel to get his mother's cell phone coordinates. They found the boy and his mother at a jazz concert in the Slippery Rock University. The surgery was successfully carried out on Saturday night.
