Samsung SGH-A717 and SGH-A727 Coming Soon The new Samsung SGH-A717 clamshell phone and the Samsung SGH-A727 bar-style phone will be soon available from AT&T.
The A717 (12.9 mm) and A727 (8.9 mm) are AT&T's slimmest 3G mobile phones to date.

Both handsets will support the upcoming AT&T Video Share service. This service allows users to add a live, one-way video stream to voice calls. Of course, both sides should have Video Share enabled on their phones.
AT&T's Mobile Music service lets customers use Napster or Yahoo! Music to load music onto the phones, and also includes Music ID, XM Radio, music videos, The Buzz music news portal, and more.

A717 and A727's features include:

  • 2.0 and 1.3Mpix cameras respectively
  • Quad-band GSM technology (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)
  • Dual-band 3G (850/1900 MHz)
  • Bluetooth 2.0
  • microSD memory card slot
  • SMS, MMS, Instant Messaging and Mobile Email
  • Access to MobiTV and MobiRadio

The SGH-A717 will be available June 4th from selected AT&T retailers and online. The SGH-A727 will appear in several weeks. The A717 and A727 cost $149.99 and $99.99 respectively, after a 2-year customer agreement and a $50 mail-in rebate.
