The upcoming HTC Touch is definitely a serious rival to the iPhone. It is based on the "Elf" platform but uses HTC's new TouchFlo technology, which delivers "unique" user experience, based on moves you do with your finger or stylus on its 2.8" QVGA touch-screen display. The Touch is 2G phone using Wi-Fi connectivity, and provides rather slow data transfer speeds, but connecting to local wireless LANs will speed up transfers. Also the device offers 2Mpix camera, microSD expansion slot, Stereo Bluetooth and runs on Windows Mobile 6 Professional. The HTC Touch now retails in the UK and will appear in more European countries before the end of the June. In America it will be available in the second half of the year. Its price is approximately $635 without a SIM-card.
