LG Mobile had a good start of this week by announcing the launch of a new industry-first handset in South Korea.
Optimus EX is surely one of the first devices with an upgraded 1.2GHz Tegra 2 chip, which allows it play 1080p video. Just to compare - the previous model stopped at 720p.
Other features would be 1.2GHz Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 4-inch screen to manage its super-bright picture display with WVGA resolution, Wi-Fi Direct support, DMB digital TV tuner (for South Korean use only), DLNA support, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), HDMI connectivity.
The EX will be sold by SK Telecom, but we are sure that it will appear in North America and Europe in a while. There’s not a word about the pricing yet.
