Bluetooth standard has been updated to version 2.1 and now offers better performance and enhanced security.
First of all, pairing has been simplified, so now Bluetooth-enabled devices will be able to find each other automatically and interconnect. Same goes to security. Users will no longer have to enter long passwords for encryption.
Finally, the new version consumes less power, thus extending battery life.
