AmericanGreetings.com in association with Image Semantics brings a new on-line mobile service for those who like sending e-cards. It is available at no extra charge for all AmericanGreetings.com subscribers in the U.S. Users can send e-cards for free, but receiving may cost one up to 30 cents depending on the messaging plan. So, here's how it works: - Sender sends the e-card
- Recipient gets a handset discovery message that detects the model of the phone and askes the permission to deliver the card
- If the recipient agrees, the e-card is delivered in the best format available for the current model
It may sound complicated at first, but it actually takes a couple of clicks. Right now there are 11 birthday and 9 anytime cards in the collection. More are to be added during fall and winter.
