Nokia recalls its BL-5C batteries manufactured by Japanese Matsushita (Panasonic) in the period of December 2005 - November 2006. The company claims these batteries can overheat and advices users to replace them. There are 46 million of them in total. The following Nokia's phone models might have included the BL-5C battery: - 1100, 1100c, 1101, 1108, 1110, 1112, 1255, 1315, 1600
- 2112, 2118, 2255, 2272, 2275, 2300, 2300c, 2310, 2355, 2600, 2610, 2610b, 2626
- 3100, 3105, 3120, 3125
- 6030, 6085, 6086, 6108, 6175i, 6178i, 6230, 6230i, 6270, 6600, 6620, 6630, 6631, 6670, 6680, 6681, 6682, 6820, 6822

- N70, N71, N72, N91

Nokia and Matsushita will change the battery for free, so if you have one, don’t hesitate to apply to them. You can check the Battery Identification Number of each suspect battery at the bottom of the Nokia battery replacement website.
