Boeing is out with its very first smartphone, the Boeing Black. It is not a device you will be able to buy in your local store; rather it’s a specialized product made for the US defense and security community.
Built from the grounds up, the Black integrates a number elements that should make it the world’s most secure Android smartphone. There’s disk encryption, hardware root of trust, hardware crypto engine, trusted platform modules, embedded secure components and secure boot to safeguard your data. Moreover, this phone will even delete all data if it detects someone is trying to break open the casing of the device.
Specs wise, we’re talking about a rather mediocre device, one that comes with a 4.3-inch qHD screen, 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 chip, dual-SIM support, 1590mAh battery and a microSD card slot. Some custom version of Android is running the show.
