Yesterday, Xiaomi has officially announced its latest device – Redmi Note. As we’ve told you before, this is one big phone aka phablet that comes with a 5.5-inch 720p HD IPS display and solid mid-end specs.
The Redmi Note will be available in two different versions, one boasting MediaTek’s octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage; and the other with 1.7GHz octa-core chip, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
Both versions pack a 13-megapixel camera with LED Flash and f/2.2 aperture on the back, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and a 3,200 mAh battery, while Android 4.2-based MIUI v5 is running the show.
The Redmi Note will be available in few color versions; 799 Yuan (about $129) gets you the 1.4GHz variant with 1GB of RAM, while the more expensive model with 1.7GHz CPU and 2GB of RAM costs 999 Yuan ($159).
