Sprint and Samsung have started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for the now aging Galaxy S III smartphone.

The carrier hasn’t specified all the details, but users should expect a number of changes, performance and stability improvements, as well as bug fixes.

Aside from all the changes included in the Android platform, Samsung will likely update many of its own apps, and perhaps even add new ones. Furthermore, Sprint on its end may bundle some apps with the update.
