The Sony Xperia ZL2 is officially announced in Japan, but we’re not sure whether it will ever leave the shores of the Land of the rising Sun.
Similarly to its predecessor the ZL2 doesn’t have a water-resistant body. However, it’s also smaller than Sony’s flagship, boasting a 5- rather than 5.2-inch full HD screen with Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 and X-Reality engine.
Specs wise, it rocks Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core chip clocked at 2.3GHz, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage, while Android 4.4 KitKat is running the show with Sony’s own custom UI singing atop.
Users in Japan will be able to grab the Xperia ZL2 in a few different colors, including black, white and turquoise.
